Chobe River Boat Cruises
Game Drives
Known for its iconic fiery African sunsets and splashing wildlife viewed from a river cruise, the Chobe Waterfront is a must-stop on any Botswana holiday. Being a short one-hour drive/road transfer from Victoria Falls and Livingstone makes combining Zimbabwe and Zambia with Botswana extremely easy.
Whilst the majority of the accommodation offerings are centered around Kasane town there are some fabulous options on the far quieter western side of the Park in the Ngoma/Muchenje region of the Chobe Forest Reserve overlooking the Caprivi Strip and Namibia, as well as the Lesoma Valley overlooking the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe – both of which are preferable to those wanting a more ‘bush’ environment away from the crowds that can make the eastern (Kasane) side less desirable.
Kasane has a world class international airport with daily flights linking to Johannesburg and Cape Town. From Kasane light aircraft transfers bring lodge-to-lodge fly-in travelers south into the Linyanti, Savuti and the Okavango Delta, Nxai, Boteti, Makgadikgadi and the Central Kalahari.
